Stargazing Luxury Resort
Where are you located?
Stargazing Resort is nestled within a private 25-acre forest in Thompsonville, Michigan, less than a minute from Crystal Mountain Resort. Guests enjoy the natural beauty of Sleeping Bear Dunes, Arcadia Bluffs, and the surrounding northern Michigan landscape. Our five luxury geodesic domes offer peaceful seclusion and stunning views in every season.
What amenities are included?
Each dome features a private luxury cedar hot tub for your exclusive use, providing the perfect place to relax under the stars. Guests also have access to our clubhouse with a heated swimming pool, ideal for a refreshing swim or unwinding after a day of adventure. Every dome includes modern comforts while keeping you connected to nature.
Is there food service on-site?
We do not offer food or beverage service at this time, but every dome includes a full kitchen with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and outdoor grill. You’ll also find many local restaurants, breweries, distilleries, and wineries nearby offering a variety of dining options.
Is the sauna electric or wood-fired?
Our six-person barrel sauna is electric and includes an Ice Barrel 500 cold plunge for a complete hot–cold therapy experience. Easy-to-follow operating instructions are posted right on the unit.
Is there a host on-site?
No, our resort offers self-check-in and check-out for privacy and convenience. You’ll receive your personalized door code through your booking platform before arrival. If you need assistance, our team is always available through the booking app.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. We maintain an allergy-friendly environment and a high standard of cleanliness. Because we’re located in a wooded setting, managing pets on-site can be challenging. We appreciate your understanding — we love animals too!
Do you provide firewood?
Yes! We provide complimentary firewood for all guests. Each dome is equipped with a smokeless fire pit and comfortable seating for up to four adults — perfect for cozy evenings under the stars.
Are children allowed?
Yes, children are welcome at Stargazing Resort. We simply ask that all guests be respectful of others and help us preserve the peaceful, natural environment that makes our property special.
What is glamping?
Glamping, short for “glamorous camping,” combines the adventure of being outdoors with the comfort of luxury accommodations. Our geodesic domes allow you to experience nature — and connect with the people you love — without giving up modern conveniences.
Is there laundry on-site?
Yes, laundry facilities are available for your convenience during your stay.
